Chris Riss

Chris Riss (Christopher Rissanen) was born September 27th 1988 in Nanaimo British Columbia Canada on Vancouver Island. When Chris was a young child he preferred to watch CMT (Country Music Television) rather than cartoons. At the age of 8 Chris's mother moved him and her to the small town of Qualicum Beach in search of a better life. Unfortunately, at age 13 Chris was becoming a troubled teenager who was majorly influenced by the World Wrestling Federation and Gangster Rap Music. At age 15 Chris started writing his own rap lyrics which were morbid and fueled by anger. In 2003 Chris founded his own record label DopETracKRecords. In 2008 Chris retired the label due to having a change of heart and no longer wanting to produce music that glorified evil.

In 2009 GOD decided to fill Chris with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other languages. Chris was then Baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Chris's journey since then has been far from perfect though. Chris has struggled with surrendering his will over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. At age 25 Chris started snoring Cocaine which eventually led to smoking crack Cocaine. Chris's battle with drug addiction throughout the years has become one of his biggest topics to write about. Chris shares his personal experiences and desires to influence others with messages of hope throughout his music and ministry.

In 2019 GOD blessed Chris and gifted him with a son. Chris's best friend said if there was one word to describe Chris as a person the word would be Zealous. So Chris named his son Zealous. Thus in a sense naming his son after himself. Chris has now been given the opportunity to break generational curses and to be the dad that he never had while growing up.

Chris is now an Evangelist and Co-Founder of iT Blast Ministries & Productions. Chris continues to remain passionate about creating music and ministering to others. Musically known for his electrifying stage presence and brutally honest lyrics, Chris continues to produce songs that inspire and motivate people worldwide. Most importantly, Chris always aims to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ' Life, Death, Resurrection, and Imminent Return!

It all started with Chris Riss seeing a Lamborghini Countach kit car for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Chris purchased the car and had it towed to his friend's place located in the backwoods of Qualicum Beach AKA "Qualiwood". Chris would then hang out with his friend and freestyle rap about working on the Lamborghini in the backwoods of Qualiwood.

Unfortunately, due to financial reasons Chris later decided to sell the Lamborghini. The most insulting offer that Chris had received was for Chris to pay a person to tow the car away and they would take it to the crusher. But that wasn't the offer that mostly caught Chris' attention. The offer that caught Chris' attention the most was the trade offer for a Cheeseburger. The person who made the offer did not even offer fries and a coke with it! Perhaps if Chris would have been offered at least a Happy Meal then maybe Chris would have considered the offer. Ha-Ha!

Chris always pictured the Lamborghini as the main prop for a music video. When Chris was offered a fair trade deal, he felt major pressure to shoot the video ASAP! Chris contacted his niece "Natasha" to help shoot right away. On the day of the shoot Chris grabbed whatever props he could find — his son's plastic tools, real tools, a 12ft ladder, Hot Wheels, mannequin heads, PUMPTONE apparel, and a Chris Riss T-Shirt. What viewers see in the Lamborghini Music Video is the final result of what was shot in the backwoods of Qualiwood that day.
